Results. Review of the scientific and psychological resource base on problems of military psychology gave grounds to state a broad thematic openness of the research. Active scientific studies cover a wide range of military-psychological topics: from peculiarities of hybrid and real war to the specifics of combat stress, trauma, mental health, psychorehabilitation, etc. An analytical review of the typical thematic dominants that are highlighted in modern military psychology was carried out.

Conclusions. Military psychology is becoming more and more relevant, first of all, in connection with the need for psychological justification and explanation of the growing geopolitical instability in the world and the increase in the number of military conflicts. In Ukraine, the increase in the number of scientific and psychological research is primarily due to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
