READY FOR A PROFESSIONAL SELECTION AS A SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEM

The article gives an analysis of the socio-psychological problem of formation of readiness for a conscious professional choice among students. The characteristic difficulties faced by young people in making a living choice are considered. The peculiarities of vocational guidance work in the conditions of close cooperation between general education and higher schools are revealed. The factors and motives influencing the professional choice in adolescence are investigated. Conditions are defined that ensure the successful development of a harmonious and versatile personality. The content of the program of experimental research on formation of readiness for conscious professional choice is revealed.A number of contradictions related to the professional self-determination of students are distinguished. The data of the recording and forming stages of the experimental research are given. It is substantiated that the set of experimental conditions determined by the program of experimental research really contributes to the formation of readiness for high-level students for a conscious professional choice.
