Peculiarities of Students’ Ecological Cosciousness under Circumstances of Social Transformations

Abstract

The article deals with the manifestation peculiarities of ecological consciousness of student youth under social transformations conditions in modern Ukrainian society. It has been determined, that negative influence of economical and political transformations caused the deformations appearance of normative consciousness of personality. Such deformation also influences on the formation of ecological consciousness of student youth. Scientific approaches to understanding the terms “consciousness” and “ecological consciousness” have been analyzed. It is indicated that consciousness is the higher level of mental activity and psychic reflection of subjective images of subjective world, human activity of objective reality learning. It is shown that one of the important places in the structure of consciousness occupies the ecological consciousness that aims at the organization and transformation of the surrounding world, according to its own needs and intentions. The empirical research results concerning the formation level of ecological consciousness of student youth have been represented. Factors of ecological consciousness with high significance level for detection of ecopsychological dispositions indices have been defined, that determine the actions and deeds orientation on interaction with the environment. It was empirically revealed that ecological consciousness is being formed during student age. Perspectives of further research of the obtained results we see in the development of normative model of ecological consciousness of growing personalitys as a subiect of ekospace.
