Social Interaction Activation as a Factor of Raising Structural Components Manifestation for youth Political Culture

Abstract

The article characterized the impact of social interaction activation to the structural components of the youth political culture. Political culture is treated as a certain level of awareness of the political process, confidence in the social and political institutions, sharing values of freedom, tolerance and individual opportunities for active involvement in social and political processes. There are the following components in its structure: the perso- nality ideas about politics, political values of the individual, the individual motivations to participate in political cooperation, the political behavior of the individual. Social interaction is presented as a resource for new information about the political environment. Its activation appears as a process of concentration by using specific cognitive, moral and psychological willpower the individual communication resources to achieve specific objectives. We conducted two experiments in which social interaction was activated by using individual and group options. It is revealed that the activation of social interaction affects expression of individual ideas about politics and political behavior of young people. The ideas about politics at individual variant of enhancing the social interaction become deeper, but when we used the group variant – results were more superficial than before the experimental effects. Political behavior after the individual options enhance social interaction became easier, and when we used group variant activation- it showed only the tendency to simplification. Enhancing social interaction did not affect to the such components of political culture as political values and motives of individual participation in the political interaction.
