The Psychological Impact of Communicative Discourse of Administrative Elite in Ukraine as a Factor of Political Values Development

Abstract

The object of analysis in this article is the psychological impact of communicative discourse of managerial elites of Ukraine that are an instrument of political reality research, and simultaneously is the part of investigated images of society political values formation. To the political elite we include people who occupy positions that require decisions of national importance that are directly or indirectly involved into adoption and implementation of political decisions. Communicative discourse is a set of statements of state and political figures, who are united under certain strategies combing themes and situations of communication. Political values are reflected and recorded in mind of individuals with some degree of importance and focus the phenomenon of political life, determining their further social and political activity. Formation of political values has situational character, one instruments are supplemented by other, politics also use them aiming to form “antivalues” for the society of their political opponents. Political values acquire certain hierarchy and importance in the citizens’ minds depending on the degree of information truthfulness obtained by media recourses. The overall political rhetoric is aimed at strengthening the psychological impact for legitimation of power in the mind of future voters. Language and language syntax of a politician construct an image of political reality, using logically psychological impact of reported political facts of language in sensory-intuitive sphere of an individual. Represented in political communication texts of political speeches are filled primarily with negative information, as in the situation of economic, social crisis and civil conflict positive dominants are minimal.
